Newtown, PA – [October 22, 2013] – Optellios is pleased to announce the promotion of Robert Portland to the position of Manager, Technical Services. Portland has an extensive background in engineering, project management, technical support, field service, power generation, and commercial/industrial security. Portland joined the Optellios team in 2010, as a Field Technician, advancing rapidly to the position of Field Project Manager.
“Robert’s background, experience, and technical knowledge in system application, integration, and design, coupled with his outstanding customer service philosophy, will enable the Optellios Technical teams to continue to grow and support our customer groups worldwide” stated Kevin Bradley, Senior Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Operations. Bradley continued “Portland has superb leadership and interpersonal skills. His planning and communication will drive the engineering support group of Optellios forward. Under Robert’s leadership, we look to implement additional services bringing multiple benefits to our Certified Partners and End–user customers in the Critical Infrastructure environment.”

Before coming to Optellios, Portland was a Project Engineer for Caterpillar, Ransome CAT, where he managed large scale generator sets and systems. Prior to that, Robert was a Project Manager and Foreman for Wenderlich Construction Company; where he managed multiple support crews on a multitude of projects.
Robert holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
