Newtown, Pennsylvania – [January 18, 2013] – Optellios, Inc., the leading developer and manufacturer of advanced fiber-optic sensing and security systems, was awarded Philadelphia SmartCEO’s Future 50 Award last night, Jan. 17th, at the Drexelbrook, Drexel Hill, PA.

The Future 50 Awards recognize 50 of the area’s fastest-growing companies based on employee and revenue growth over the past three years.

David Smith, Optellios President and CEO, and Greg Williams, Optellios Director of Finance, were there to accept the award.

“It is a very exciting honor to represent Optellios in receiving this prestigious award. The event and the ceremony were highly charged with much excitement and enthusiasm,” said Smith about the award ceremony.

Williams added, “It was exciting to see Optellios profiled among so many success stories in the Philadelphia region. The energy at the event was great, but it was the dynamic collection of entrepreneurial spirit that dominated the night.”

When discussing what the award means to Optellios, Williams said, “This award validates the direction of our company and serves as a reminder that our industry is ready for a leader to emerge.” Smith added, “An award like this is a true indication that Optellios is coming of age as a growth company. Receiving a great compliment like this makes it an amazing time for Optellios.”
